Join us on Wednesday, July 22, for a night of readings and discussion with some of China’s leading contemporary poets. We’ll hear from celebrated poet, essayist, and literary critic Wang Jiaxin; Lan Lan, a highly influential present-day Chinese lyrical poet; Jami Proctor Xu, a bilingual, award-winning poet and essayist who will translate the event; and New York–based poet and interdisciplinary artist Jiaoyang Li.
We’ll hear two poems from each poet—in both English and Chinese—and then host a discussion on the myriad connections between Buddhism and poetry. Gather with us in-person to connect with the Tricycle community and this acclaimed group of poets.
