Gary Jackson

Gary Jackson is the author of small lives (University of New Mexico Press, 2025), long-listed for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and Missing You, Metropolis (Graywolf Press, 2010), selected by Yusef Komunyakaa as the winner of the 2009 Cave Canem Poetry Prize. 

The Toi Derricotte Endowed Chair of English at the University of Pittsburgh and the director of the Center for African American Poetry and Poetics (CAAPP), Jackson lives in Pittsburgh.
