J. Scott Brownlee

J. Scott Brownlee is the author of What Flesh Inherits (Texas Review Press, 2026) and Requiem for Used Ignition Cap (Orison Books, 2016), which received the 2015 Orison Prize in Poetry and 2016 Bob Bush Memorial Award for Best First Book of Poetry from the Texas Institute of Letters. For his chapbooks, he received the 2015 Tree Light Books Prize, the 2014 Robert Phillips Chapbook Prize, and the 2013 Button Poetry Prize.

Brownlee lives in Austin and is originally from Llano in the Texas Hill Country.
